When I say I feel blessed, that is an understatement. Lance Peterson was nothing less then a miracle sent to help me. From my first phone call he made me feel so much more at ease, and that Norman and I were the most important thing in the world to him. From the moment we first talked, I knew everything was going to be okay. They researched Normans life to track down his family so he could be buried with them...they arranged everything.

I have never had to handle a funeral on my own before....I was scared, confused, nervous, overwhelmed, and obviously very heartbroken at the loss of my friend, Norman.

Doing it that way that saves time and aggravation. Sometimes it’s necessary to crimp the necks tightly to prevent leakage. Adjust your die to crimp enough but not too much for if you buckle the shoulder too much it can’t be fixed. Most companies don’t sell them however blank crimping dies can be bought from C H Tool and Die Company. They come in an assortment of calibers and I imagine they will make a custom size for an extra fee. They are necessary if you plan on crimping any cases.

Marshall notes homemade primers only approach commercial products in efficacy and reliability. The best method is to stock up on components when they are cheap and readily available. That method is temporarily unavailable at a reasonable cost to most. When the ammunition bubble deflates again , remember to stock up. Excellent results can be had using purchased chemicals to make priming mix.

RCBS– RCBS is also part of the big names in the reloading world. One of their reloading products is the hunting RCBS 9356 Rock Chucker Supreme Press. Magnum primers- these are hotter and burn longer than standard primers hence work better with larger loads of harder-to-ignite ball or spherical powders.
The cases are head stamped for blanks and should not be used for loaded ammo with smokeless powder. The extra ignition can cause a dangerous pressure spike with smokeless powder. Using them for black powder ammo shouldn’t cause any problems which I have done. Starter kits come equipped with different accessories and some come with added goodies than others. Nevertheless, even the fullest and the well-equipped starter kit is still likely to omit an accessory or two that you’ll find yourself needing later on. The quality of bullets that come from the reloading kit is not only tied to the quality of materials you use but also to the instructions provided.

Leftover gun powder is the biggest culprit to a dirty kit but it can easily be cleaned by properly storing or throwing away the gun powder. With a little care after use, there is very little clean-up when using an ammo kit. The Best Ammo Reloading kits in the market should be easy to clean and maintain. This press features a long stroke for reloading rifle cases over 3 inches using the automatic index. The rigid cast-iron frame is used to support the ram with over 12 square inches of area.
This will afford you the confidence that you are working with a proper degree of safety. Multi-stage units do this automatically but doing it by hand will allow you to properly clean the shell out. A primer pocket cleaning tool works best for this. There are other more expensive multi-stage presses (such as the Hornady Lock N Load Auto-Progressive) available to help speed things up. Once the brass is clean, you’re going to want to line them up on an RCBS lube pad and rub them down. Lastly, you need a copy of the Lyman Reloading Handbook that outlines the exact parameters for the particular bullet you’re trying to make.

If you have access to those commercial quality chemicals then you would probably also have access to gunpowder. In my opinion, trying to make homemade gunpowder isn't practical for a self-sufficient individual who wishes to avoid potentially devastating accidents. Therefore, the only logical alternative was to acquire commercially available gunpowder. Level up your knowledge by gathering all the basic knowledge of existing tools and stuff. The best reloading press has the same essential parts which include the lever, shell holder, and die. The best and correct way to clean an ammo kit is to never get it dirty at all. Those containers are designed to come apart if the powder accidentally ignites. The powder will burn up very rapidly and not explode.

This set contains all the basic reloading components you will need, except for the appropriate reloading dies and shell holder . The 95/5 Solid Wire Solder is the best choice for casting lead bullets.
Remington paved the way for ammo brands across the country like Hornady and Winchester, as well as international brands like Italy's Fiocchi, Russia's Wolf, and South Korea's PMC. With less power than its centerfire counterpart , rimfire ammunition is most commonly used for plinking, target shooting and varmint hunting. Among rimfire ammo is one of the most widely used cartridges in the world – the .22 Long Rifle. Many novice shooters use this iconic ammo as a learning tool and go on to use it for plinking and small-game hunting. Hunting with a rifle allows you to choose ammo for specific game. That is plenty for hunting, most defensive cases, or moderate practice.
Inside these casings are primers, which is what gets struck by the firing pin, creates a flash and ignites the powder. They are available in Boxer, Berdan and rimfire – each factors for performance, size and calibers. When most people think of the history of firearms, they think of the weapons themselves. But a gun is useless without its ammunition, which has a long and storied history in the United States – dating back to the Founding Fathers and the use of armories. Commercial ammo as we know it today began with a familiar name, Eliaphalet Remington, who founded what is now the oldest manufacturer of firearms in the U.S. in 1816.
Ammo Brands
Start at 20 or so grains depending on gauge and adjust to noise level. Like live ammo the powder used in blanks has to have some push against it in order to work well and make a loud noise. You can buy various cork and felt wads from various sources for any gauge shotgun. I load some 10 gauge using about 135 grains of black powder and a commercial cork wad. They are used in a pirate mock battle and produce a lot of smoke which is desirable in this situation.
There are very many things that you have to take into consideration, and with the many options, the market has, you can be easily overwhelmed. Buying new bullets whenever you want to shoot can be quite expensive hence the concept of reloading your bullets comes here as it cuts down your costs dramatically. Learning how to reuse your shotgun shells is every bit as valuable as learning how to craft bullets or make ammo. Not only is reloading ammunition a fantastic skill to master for those nightmarish worst-case scenarios, but it is also a fine way to save money.

It does not have a Boxer primer and therefore it is not reloadable. The reason I am taking the time to write this article is due to the current worldwide ammunition shortage that has existed for several months now. In most cases the Lyman manual has more data on more different grain weight bullets in each caliber than the Speer manual. The Lyman manual also has a six-page article on cast bullets. Therefore, although the Lyman manual is not the most recommended one in the reloading industry, it is the manual I personally prefer. Even though the Lyman manual has fewer pages, each of those pages is almost twice the size as one page in the Speer manual.
The 60/40 (or 50/50) Solid Wire Solder is the next best choice. Each type of solder contains an adequate ratio of tin plus at least one other metal used in the casting process. None of these solders contains any extra metals or any type of additional compounds in its core.
Individuals who are not familiar with the reloading process sometimes criticize hand-loaded ammo as being inferior to factory-loaded ammo. I have had others who want to launch dummy grenades which require strong blanks using powder similar to live ammo loads. Westerns use replica guns that look and function like the originals. Needless to say the antiques are too valuable to use in movies. They frequently get dropped or thrown and with a gun valued at several grand that isn’t a good thing. You need to have a blank adapter to cycle the action.
There was little or no info anywhere in regards to the subject. If there was something written about blanks I was unable to locate it. Anyway I applied the same methods that I used for designing bullets or other oddball projects I engage in, trial and error. There was plenty of error believe me but that’s how you learn. After some searching I found some blank powder at a gun show but no instructions as to how much to use in a given cartridge.
When you mark a reminder as done, it’s crossed out. Obviously, it's not just as straightforward as just setting and getting reminders. If you have a speaker, a white light will remain on the device for 10 minutes, though a card will stay on smart displays until it's been acknowledged. This ensures your reminders aren't clogged up with other users' to-do lists, and that your reminders can't be accessed by other users.
Maybe you just got Google Home and you want to personalize it? If you create reminders and don't mark them as done in the Calendar app, the Google app, or Google Keep, they appear in the "All day" section of your calendar. You only get notifications for reminders when they're set for a specific time. You won't get notifications for all-day reminders.

The notifications appear on your Google device or your phone whenever you’ve scheduled them. For instance, whether you’re using a smart speaker, display, or smartphone, your device will remind you of reminders you’ve set. When it does so, it will say something or throw a notification that says “I have a reminder for” and then the name of the person who set the reminder.
Where are my reminders on Android?
First, you need to download the Google Home app and make sure that your phone and speaker are on the same WiFi network. To use the Google Home app that you used to set up your Nest devices, first open the app, then tap “Settings” on the right. Hold down the home button or say “Hey Google.” Ask Google Assistant, “What are my reminders?
However, because the voice assistant can also live on your phone, things can get a little tricky. Check the box next to the reminder you want to mark as complete. When you don’t need a reminder anymore, you can mark it as ‘Done’. To set a reminder in a browser, go to Google Reminders and click Create . Click the reminder you want to mark as done Mark as done.

For speakers, the lights on the speaker will then stay lit up for up to 10-minutes or until the reminder is checked. On smart displays, the display will show a card for the reminder until it’s been checked. And reminders for your phone will stay in place for that long too.
Namely, ensuring that your voice match and personal results are turned on for the devices in your home. That way, when you set up Google Home and Assistant for reminders, they’ll recognize you. Allowing for wider use of more personalized reminders. But using the reminders, for those who aren’t intimately familiar with smart home equipment, isn’t always intuitive. Even if the automation process is pretty straightforward. So this guide will take a closer look at how to set reminders up using these systems.

You'll want to check in on reminders you've set, delete some that don't apply or perhaps even turn notifications off/on for reminders altogether. Sometimes you aren’t near your speaker when you want to set a reminder. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be in the same room. Instead, try this to use your smartphone or tablet to set your reminders.
You can use time in context, too, when you give commands. Saying something like, “Hey Google, remind me to call work in 20 minutes,” would also work to set a reminder. To remove old reminders so they don't carry over to the next day, mark them as done. To remove a reminder from your calendar, you can either mark it as done or delete it. Conversely, you can also use Google Assistant on your smart home. Although that’s not always as straightforward and sometimes requires a change in commands. Namely, to add where the reminder will be shown or by using the Assistant in the Google Home app. The user can decide what notifications to enable per calendar and the delivery method for each notification type. These settings are not shared with other users. Similar to default reminders, they’re accessible through the CalendarList collection.
Mention the date you want it to fire, such as “January 23rd.” You can also say phrases such as “tomorrow” and “next week,” and Google will know what you mean. When the Google Assistant is listening, say “Set a reminder.” Google will then ask you what you want to be reminded of, so you’ll need to provide that answer. Of course, variations on these phrases can also be used. For instance, you may ask Google to “set a reminder to” or “remember” something instead.
