Loved One
When I say I feel blessed, that is an understatement. Lance Peterson was nothing less then a miracle sent to help me. From my first phone call he made me feel so much more at ease, and that Norman and I were the most important thing in the world to him. From the moment we first talked, I knew everything was going to be okay. They researched Normans life to track down his family so he could be buried with them...they arranged everything.

Please understand that when a death occurs over a weekend, most German offices, including certain police authorities, are closed. Therefore, in some cases, it might take until the next business day for us to provide the next-of-kin with additional information. In some cases, the German authorities require an autopsy to be preformed in order to complete the documentation of the death. Certified copies of the Report of Death will be sent to the next-of-kin or legal representative and the original will be sent to the Department of State for permanent filing.

A friend of mine, Norman, passed away, and having no luck finding any living relatives, I needed to find a way to handle things. All I knew was he had scratched the words "Raymond Cemetery" Raymond, MN on a piece of paper. I feel so blessed that I looked for a funeral home in that area, and I found the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. I have never had to handle a funeral on my own before....I was scared, confused, nervous, overwhelmed, and obviously very heartbroken at the loss of my friend, Norman.

It was a sad and serious day, but they made everything seem light and easy....even throwing in a little humor when we had finally laid Norman to rest. I can't really even express to you how peaceful, happy and serene I felt as I left there for my drive back to Bloomington. I had cried all the way there, most of the time during our chat, and all through the funeral...but found myself smiling all the way back! Lance Peterson and The Rev. Wayne Kopitzke were sent to me from God.
